Shopgirl

There are 18 million open moon roofs in Los Angeles.  As Mirabelle Buttersfield (Claire Danes) gazes out and up into a dark LA night sky we look down at her life recently but firmly planted in the unforgiving and unyielding Los Angeles concrete jungle.  From the first shot “Shopgirl” grabs hold of what can be a distilled solitude that has become a trademark for the city of Angeles in resent years and never lets go.
