It is the story of the Duchess of Devonshire but it should have been called the Duchess of Lameville! If you were every wondering if a person could live in a giant palace, have everything you can dream of, never get your head cut off but still be as boring as mud drying this is your movie!! Imagine they rapped the movie “Pride and Prejudice” early and had 4 extra days with all the set, locations and wardrobes so somebody said “Let’s just make another movie real quick, no one will know!”. We’ll I know, and now you all know so just rent “Pride and Prejudice” again and if anyone asks say: “Yeah, I saw “The Duchess” but I liked “Pride and Prejudice” better.
Keira, don’t worry I still love you and your bionic chin! Your work in “Pride & Prejudice” and “Bend It Like Beckham” has earned you years of good will.
